1000 Thousand Paper Cranes

Good morning,

How are you? I hope you are all doing well. 

Calm and taking it easy, staying POSITIVE.

These are two videos, the first is a parody of the song "Ice, Ice Baby" from Vanilla Ice, and the second is from "Tusa" from Karol G. and Nicki Minaj. I hope it cheers you up, and it also gives you ideas for the project "Wuhan, mon amour". ; )

Talking to Laura, the mother of one of our students, about origami like a month ago, she reminded me of the Japanese tradition. This story might give more ideas to work on. 

It takes just 10 paper cranes per family, and we got it!

PROJECT: "WUHAN, MON AMOUR"

This is a project created by Michele Botto, that will take place together with other teachers and other fields, not just the artistic. 

The aim is to reflect our experiences, to search, show and create art based on the moment we are experiencing right now. It is a challenge, I know.

3D STREET ART: A QUESTION OF PERSPECTIVE

The wife of 15th-century Italian artist Paolo Uccello used to beg him to come to bed. She was fed up of him staying up all night drawing objects with the new method of 3D illusion – or as it was called at the time, "perspective". He still wouldn't come to bed. "This perspective is such a sweet thing," he said.

As you already know we live in a three-dimensional world:  

1. Height, 2. Length 3.Depth

We can change or viewpoint, trasnforming the way we see things. That way objects seem to be smaller of bigger depending whether we are close or far away from them. The same way objects might seem to vanish or disappear when we move around them or we move away from them. Light also plays a very interesting role in the way we perceive objects.
